Christmas in Action began in 1973 in Midland, Texas, when Bobby Trimble saw a need in his community: elderly and disabled neighbors who could not maintain their homes.
What started as a simple act of kindness became a movement. Since 1983 in Wichita County, we have repaired over 4,400 homes, helping homeowners live in safety, warmth, and with independence.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit powered by volunteers, licensed contractors, partnerships, contractor partnerships, and a shared belief: Everyone deserves to live safely in the home they love.
We repair and replace roofs to protect homes from weather damage and ensure long-term safety.
We fix hazardous wiring and upgrade systems to keep homes safe and functional.
From leaks to full repairs, we ensure clean and reliable water systems.
We install ramps, grab bars, and safety features to support independence.
We improve heating, cooling, and insulation for comfort and energy efficiency.
Painting, yard work, door replacements, and small repairs—done at no cost when volunteers are available.
